"I see my life in terms of music." - Albert Einstein

Sonja Indin (*1980) has invented melodies and sung in made up languages ever since she can remember. At the age of 14, she started playing the guitar, and moved on to classical singing in college. She continued her musical passion and decided to study Jazz singing with Marianne Racine in Zurich. She also spent one semester at the Music Academy in Basel with Lisette Spinnler, and participated in the Erasmus program in Cardiff, Wales, with Nia Lynn. Master classes in London with Anita Wardell and Quincy Jones, as well as workshops with Jay Clayton and Sheila Jordan gave her essential musical inspirations. In 2010 she graduated with a master’s degree. Sonja Indin is an active musician and composer with a wide repertoire and sings in English, French and German. Her debut album „Do you know me?“ was released in 2011 (Brambus). In 2015, her second album „Augen in der Grossstadt“ – a tribute to Tucholsky – followed. Sonja Indin is the mother of two children and teaches at Musikschule Konservatorium Zurich.
